OBIT- Funeral Services were conducted Tuesday, January 5 for Jim Young, 85, a long time resident of Milam county. Mr Young passed away Sunday, January 3, at 5:45 pm at his home here. Born in Hope Arkansas in 1869 Mr Young came to Milam County in 1876.
Funeral Services were held at 2:30 pm at Marek-Burns Funeral Chapel, with Rev CP Robison, pastor, Assembly of God Church officiating. He was assisted by Rev PL Caperton. Burial was made in Salem Cemetery.
Surviving Mr Young are three daughters, Mrs Alvin Baggerly, Mrs Julia Brod, and Mrs Norman Cook, all of Cameron; and two sisters, Mrs WE Stimcen of Greggton and Mrs JB Griffis of Rockdale; ll grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
