Mickey was my childhood friend. There was always a big group of us that ran around together.Bunn Butler, Barry Webb, Zeta Wells, Eva Weber,Donald Weber,Myself,Steve Bailey,Wayne Byars & Billy Laviolette. They were all from the same neighborhood,Zeta was my best friend back then. And, I was at her house every weekend & sometimes during the week as well.So we were all always together.Zeta's mom always called us the "wild bunch" tho our wild times really only consisted of us all hanging in her front yard half the nite[on wkends]We pulled pranks on each other like...putting ice cream all over some of the other one's front porch. Or toilet papering each other's houses,or us stealing Zeta's dad's beer & having a few.

As we all grew up we lost touch but, never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine that one day I would be sitting @ a computer making a virtual grave site for one of them.Sweet Mickey you were really the shyest & quietest of us all.You were the gentle one,the more sensible one of us all. when I saw your obit in todays paper.I had to read it over & over,I was trying to make it sink in that it was really YOU that I was reading about.I have thought of you often thru the yrs.How I wish I had looked you up & stayed in touch. Now that chance is gone 4ever.

Mickey & His brother Don[Campbell] built & raced cars @ Cowtown Speedway In Kennedale Tx.They drove a big blue "Bomber" for about 7 yrs.[# 157] Then built a Modified race car & raced it for about 2 yrs.[Also # 157] More info on their races as soon as I can collect it all.

Mickey Had Charot Foot Disease & Diabetes. He Had Just Had Surgery To Remove His Foot As He Could No Longer Stand The Pain It Caused.Dr.'s Thought The Surgery Went Well & That All Would Be O.K. I Talked To Mickey's Sister Robbie This A.M. She said Mickey Was Very Excited About The Surgery & The Fact That He Would Be Getting A Prosthetic Foot. But, On Wednesday Morning He Went To Sleep In The Arms Of Jesus.

I'am so glad that Mickey's pain & suffering is over. And, that from here on he will know nothing but, happiness. My heart goes out to his children & other family member's.Mickey was a wonderful person & he will be missed so much by so many.God Bless you all.

Rest in peace my sweet friend.

To Those I Love & Those Who Loved Me

When I am gone, release me,let me go
I have so many things to see & do.
You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears,
Be happy that we had so many years.
I gave you my love & you can only guess
How much you gave me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have shown,
But, now it's time I traveled alone.
So grieve awhile for me,if grieve you must
Then let your grief be be comforted by trust.
It;s only for awhile that we must part
So bless the memories within your heart.
I won't be far away, for life goes on,
So,if you need me,call me and I will come.
Though you can't see or touch me,I'll be near,
And,if you listen with your heart,
You'll hear all my love around you soft and clear.
And then, when you must come this way alone,
I'll greet you with a smile and say, "Welcome Home"
