He was retired from USX National Tube. A member of the Port Vue American Legion and a World War II Army veteran. Husband of the late Elizabeth "Elsie" Loskot [sic-Lasket] Gaydos.
Survived by grandchildren, Daniel W. and his wife, Brenda Gaydos, of East McKeesport, Melissa and her husband, Brad Reed, of Monongahela, and Heather L. Algeri, of Port Vue; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Andrew and his wife, Betty Gaydos, of Glassport, and Frank Gaydos, of Glassport. Preceded in death by his sons, Kenneth L. and William R.; and siblings, John, Emil, Mary and Lou.
Burial was made at the Sacred Heart cemetery in Port Vue with Military Honors.
