SEARSPORT – Ada L. Koch passed away peacefully at her home on June 20, 2016. She was born August 14, 1933 in Prospect to Nelson and Helen (Moody) Clark.

She married William Koch and moved to the farm in Searsport in 1949 where they raised vegetables, cows and 4 children. While endeavoring this journey she put herself through college to become a grade school teacher. She taught school in Searsport for 10 years. She always could be counted on to lend a hand to anyone in need.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her beloved husband William Koch in 2004. Also predeceased by her brother Albin Clark and sisters Annie Bowden and Eva Dunbar. She is survived by her children and their spouses, John (Pam), Sue (Chuck), Arthur (Silvia) and Mary (Roger), several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as a host of friends all being special and dear to Ada.

The family wishes to thank the Searsport Ambulance Department and crew for the help and service through this journey.
