Carolyn "Carol" Louise (Hollis) Gladden, 63, of Gadsden, Alabama, died on June 21, 2016. She worked at the Holy Name of Jesus Hospital for several years, after which she owned and operated her own assisted living home. She and her husband, who were married on March 25, 1971, hosted several foreign exchange students from all over the world. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hoyt and Nell Hollis; parents-in-law, Calvin and Audrey Gladden; two brothers, Richard Tucker and Forrest Tucker; and two sisters, Christine Adcock and Betty Lou Kimbril. She was survived by her husband of forty-five years, son, daughter, sister, two brothers, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nine grandchildren, two great-grandsons, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral: 11:00 a.m. June 24, 2016 at Village Funeral Home.
