AVOCA - Herbert Holtz, 91, of Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn, formerly of Avoca, died Feb. 16 at the home. Services are pending at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca.

Survivors include his children: Richard (Janet) Holtz of Avoca, IA, Joyce (David) Kardell of Hancock, IA, Janelle (Richard) Kuhr of Walnut, IA; two sisters: Evelyn Nelsen and Hazel (Orville) Krueger, all of Walnut, IA; four brothers: Delno “Bud” (Betty) Holtz of Avoca, IA, Raymond Holtz of Walnut, IA, Fred Holtz, Jr. Of Avoca, IA, Clarence (Betty Jean) Holtz of Avoca, IA.
