Clarence Ernest Alexander, 85, of Kansas City, Missouri, died on June 19, 2016. He was born on September 26, 1930 in Tiffin, Missouri to Lawrence and Rachel Alexander. He was one of nine children. He attended Blue Ridge School of Saint Clair County, Missouri for eight years. In April of 1952, he joined the U.S. Army. While enlisted, he served as a cook with a rank of CPL Private First Class. In April of 1954, he was honorably discharged. He then went on to work as a service station attendant until 1974. Following that, he worked for Dusselier Ready-Mix where he drove cement and construction trucks for many years until he retired. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Joseph Ernest; and daughter, Deborah Marie. He is survived by his wife and best friend of sixty years, five children, twenty-five grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. Funeral: 11:00 a.m. June 24, 2016 at Chapel of Memories Funeral Home.
