Bueford Kenneth “B.K.” Absher, 83, of Greensboro, died Monday, June 20, 2016.
Mr. Absher was born in Wilkes County, NC to the late Lester Durell Absher and Gertrude Rhodes Absher. He graduated from North Wilkesboro High School, enlisted in the U.S. Air
Force, and was stationed in Germany from 1954 - 1956, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. He worked as an installer in the telecommunications field with Western Electric and subsequently Lucent Technologies, retiring after 42 years of service. He was always a dedicated husband, an attentive father, and a good provider.
Mr. Absher was preceded in death by brothers, Troy Absher and Roy Absher.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Guilford Baptist Church, with Dr. Brady Huneycutt officiating. Visitation will be held at the church at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service.
