Services for Mr. Jesse Chalmers (J.C.) McGee, Jr will be held 2 pm, Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Union with Rev. Guy Odom and Rev. Henry Moreau officiating. Burial will be in the Ferguson Cemetery in Newton Co. Milling Funeral Home of Union in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McGee, 76, of Hickory, died Sunday, January 23, 2011 at University Medical Center.
Survivors include:
Wife of 49 years, Juanita McGee of Hickory
1 Daughter: Jessica Lynn McGee of Hickory
2 Stepsons: Alton R. DuBose of Montgomery, Al Steven DuBose of Hickory
2 Sisters: Sara Moreau # 93063788 and husband Henry # 166029909 of Decatur and Rachel Ratzer and husband David of North Carolina
3 Brothers: William Hill McGee and wife Patsy of Starkville and Joseph Marion McGee of Hickory Gene McGee and wife Jane of Ridgeland
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. McGee was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Chalmers McGee, Sr., and one sister, Bettie Wolverton.
Pallbearers: Bobby Pugh, Bobby Butler, Henry Moreau, Willard Lyles, Mack Fanning, Joe Lee McGee, Lowry McGee, and Michael Dover
Visitation will be held 6-8 pm, Tuesday at Milling Funeral Home of Union.
