Age 78 of Seaford, DE died Wednesday, October 19, 2005, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital.

Born in Seaford, DE, son of the late Ethyl Hill and Howard Francis Allen, he was a mail carrier, retiring in 1987 after 35 years of service. He was also a farmer. He was a longtime referee of high school football and basketball games. He was a member of the Seaford Elks Lodge #2458 and he attended Mount Olivett United Methodist Church in Seaford.

He is survived by his wife, Arizona Newberry Allen; a son, LeRoy David Allen, of Boca Raton, FL; a daughter, Tina L. Allen, of Deerfield Beach, FL; 2 stepsons, Gary Morgan of Seaford, DE and Darrell Morgan of Laurel, DE; and 3 step-grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew and Sarah.

There will be a funeral service at 2 pm on Sunday, October 23, 2005, at the WATSON-YATES FUNERAL HOME, Front & King Streets, Seaford, DE, where friends may call from 12-2 pm, prior to the service. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Seaford, DE
