John W. "Jay" Clark Sr., 83, of Blairsville, died Thursday, April 11, 2002, at Latrobe Area Hospital.
He was born July 8, 1918, in Black Lick, a son of John W. and Mary Sin- dorfClark. In 1954 Mr. Clark founded Clark Metal Products and served as press- dent until he retired in 1987. He was a member of the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Clark belonged to the United Methodist Church in Blairsville. He was a member of the Blairsville Kiwanis. Odd Fellows IOOF Lodge 346 and the American Legion. He was a charter member of the Blairsville Historical Society.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marian Newhouse Clark; two sons: Jack W. Clark and his wife, Darlene, of Blairsville, and David A. Clark and his wife, Mary Ann, of Blairsville; five grandchildren: Jacquelyn Clark, Boston; Terri Perkins and her husband, Jon, Charlottesville, Va.; Rob Clark and his wife, Julie, Murrysville; David A. Clark Jr., Murrysville; and Kristin Clark, Harrisburg; and three great- grandchildren. Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Barkley.
