Carolyn Elizabeth Lewis Adkison died unexpectedly on Thursday, February 4th in Grand Prairie, TX at the age of 34.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Nick Adkison, and baby daughter, Keira Lillian Adkison, of Midlothian, TX; her brothers and sisters, Bobby and Darcy Lewis of Los Angeles, CA; Jenny and Tony Leone of Haughton, LA; and Tammy and Dixon Bautista of Honolulu, HI; and her nephews Van Lewis and Jacob Bautista. She is also survived by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ron and Debbie Adkison of North Richland Hills, TX. She was dearly adored by her many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

She is joined in death by father Thomas Elliott Lewis and mother Carolyn Glenney Lewis of Oak Point, TX.

Carolyn was born on December 13, 1981 in Post, TX. Carolyn received her Bachelor’s of Education from Texas Tech University in 2004. She met her beloved husband Nick and fell in love with his kindness, sense of humor, and love for the Lord, and they married on August 12, 2006. She worked in business and hair styling before fulfilling her life’s calling as a devoted stay-at-home mother to her little angel, Keira, in whom Carolyn poured eight months of joy, light, and pure love.

Carolyn had a servant’s heart and overwhelmed everyone she loved with her generosity and abundant kindness. She always put others first in all situations and loved to treat people to unexpected gifts, especially her cherished hair products. Beautiful inside and out, she was always perfectly put together but never failed to compliment the beauty and good taste of others. She was perpetually positive, and she lit up every room she entered with her gleaming smile and a twinkle in her big brown eyes. Above all, she wanted everyone to be in Heaven, and she shared her faith far and wide. She was an active member of Liberty Baptist Church in Midlothian, TX. Carolyn was a radiant beam of light that will continue to shine on those she left behind.
