Paul retired from Combustion Engineering after 31 years, and National Boiler after 19 years. He served in US Army Ordinance, stationed at Bordeaux, France (1952-1954) He loved fishing, hunting, and family time.
He was an active member of Flintstone Baptist Church and Boilermaker Local 656, and the High Point Community Club.
He was born in Fort Payne, AL to the late Hoy and Idella Cash. He was preceded in death by sister Katherine and brother Lamar Cash.
He is survived by his wife: Clara Crump Cash; a son: Jimmy Paul (Julie) Cash, Birmingham, and granddaughters Caroline and Mary Cash; sisters: Sarah (Herman) Monroe and Mary (Billy) Colley, and brother: Ladon (Ardell) of Alabama, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Roof Fund of Flintstone Baptist Church, 121 Mountain View Circle, Flintstone, GA 30725 or Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37416
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Brent Smith officiating. The family will receive friends after 12 noon Friday at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway. A private family interment with military honors will be held at a later date at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
