DAVIS -- Services for Shelby Jane Bays, 19, will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. James Densman officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

Shelby was born Jan. 26, 1987, at Ardmore to Richard and Sharon O'Dell Bays. She went to be with the Lord Nov. 9, 2006, at Ada. Shelby was a sophomore at East Central University.

As valedictorian of her class, Shelby graduated in May, 2005 from Davis High School. She was a member of the National Honors Society, Oklahoma Honors Society, F.C.A., Project Give and the Oklahoma Music Federation Playoff. She was an Oklahoma Academic Scholar, as well as, a Davis High school Academic Scholar.

Shelby was voted "Most Likely To Succeed," by her senior classmates. While in high school she served as an elementary tutor and high school office aide, as well as a library aide. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Davis.

Shelby is survived by her parents, Richard and Sharon Bays, of the home; paternal grandmother, Delores Bays and maternal grandmother, Maxine O'Dell, both Vanceburg, Ky. aunts and uncles, Roger and Marilyn Scaggs, Vanceburg, Terri McConnell, Cherryvale, Kan., Jerry O'Dell, Memphis, Tenn., and Jane Theiss, Vanceburg.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Carl Bays and maternal grandfather, Don O'Dell.

Bearers are Brent Gee, Ed Warner, Grant Whitaker, Kenneth Gary and Jim Esham. Honorary bearers are members of the Davis High School Class of 2005.

In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to the First Baptist Church Vision Fund.

Services are entrusted to Hale's Funeral Home.
