Audrey A. McComsey, 81, of Lancaster, died on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Ephrata Manor. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Roy L. and Esther N. Ressel McComsey.

Audrey graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School and West Chester University with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education and received a Masters of Education from Temple University. She was a physical education teacher for 31 years, teaching at Edward Hand Junior High School for 27 years, retiring in 1988. She was a Senior Tax Advisor for H&R Block in Reading, Pa., and taught advance tax classes for 16 years. Audrey also served on the Pulmonary Rehab Board at Lancaster General Hospital. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.

Audrey was a two-time All American Soft-ball player and the 1st woman to be selected into the PA Softball Hall of Fame in Sunbury in 1988.

She is survived her three great nieces, Heather of wife of Mark Perullo, Charlotte, Nc., Ashley Clark of Jersey City, Nj., Jocelyn, wife of Chris Unger, Quarryville, Pa. She was preceded in death by her sister, June D. Alexander, a niece, Sandra L. Fuller, and a niece, Robin L. Clark.
