"You took my baby. You took my baby," Sharon Scott said, pointing to the picture of her dead daughter covering the front of her white T-shirt.

"Touch of Class" was inscribed above the smiling picture of Danielle Nicole Scott.

Family members wore matching T-shirts displaying Danielle Nicole Scott's picture as they sat on the front row Friday during a preliminary hearing in Oklahoma County District Court for James Patrick Lesley, 25, and Ricardo Virgo Blonner, 23, the two men accused of Danielle Nicole Scott's murder.

Danielle Nicole Scott, 19, was eight (8) months pregnant when her throat was slashed and she bled to death on Nov. 15, 1999.

Doctors conducted an emergency Caesarean section and delivered the baby - a 5-pound, 5-ounce girl - minutes after Danielle Nicole Scott died. The baby, Kasiah J'Day Scott, now 7 months old, lives at The Children's Center in Bethany and has severe medical problems.

Leon Scott, the victim's father, patted his wife, Sharon Scott, on the back Friday as she sobbed and glared at the defendants. His T-shirt read "Precious Memories" above his favorite picture of his daughter.

"I love you" was the message Danielle Scott's sister, Amber Palmer, chose for her T-shirt.

Calvin Ray Elliott Jr., 24, the victim's fiance and the father of the baby, testified that the attack was retaliation for burglarizing James Patrick Lesley's home.

Special District Judge Charles Humble ordered James Patrick Lesley and Ricardo Virgo Blonner to stand trial on charges of first-degree murder, assault and battery with the intent to kill, first-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit murder and attempting to kill another.

The defendants are scheduled for a Sept. 2 pre-trial conference before District Judge Jerry Bass. The state is seeking the death penalty.

Calvin Ray Elliott Jr.'s throat also was cut. He received cuts and abrasions on his hands and forearms. He said two weeks before the slaying he took 8 1/2 ounces of methamphetamine, a video camera and $300 from James Patrick Lesley's home.

Calvin Ray Elliott Jr. testified that James Patrick Lesley was armed with a gun and Ricardo Virgo Blonner had a knife when they allegedly burst into his duplex at 4704 Sunnyview Drive.

He said the pair bound him with duct tape and forced him to lie on the floor while James Patrick Lesley repeatedly told Ricardo Virgo Blonner he was going to kill Elliott. Danielle Scott was also forced to get on the floor. Ricardo Virgo Blonner sat on the woman's back, Calvin Ray Elliott Jr. said.

"I was trying to tell him, don't hurt her," Calvin Ray Elliott Jr. testified. He described his fiancée as "doing a lot of crying."

Calvin Ray Elliott Jr. said Ricardo Virgo Blonner began cutting him as he struggled with James Patrick Lesley for the gun. He said he stopped struggling and Ricardo Virgo Blonner ran out of the Del City duplex. Calvin Ray Elliott Jr. said he called for Danielle Scott, but there was no answer.

"I saw blood on the screen door and saw a trail of blood. I kneeled down over her and she wasn't breathing" Calvin Ray Elliott Jr. said.

He said he was taken to the hospital in one ambulance and Danielle Scott was taken in another.

"I never saw her again," he said.

The couple's 2-year-old daughter also was in the duplex during of the attack, but she was not injured.

Calvin Ray Elliott Jr. also testified Friday that he has gotten into fights with James Patrick Lesley and Ricardo Blonner in the Oklahoma County jail since he was arrested five months ago on drug charges unrelated to the murder case.

James Patrick Lesley wore an arm brace Friday supporting an injury he supposedly received in a fight, which took place in the protective custody section of the jail.

BABY DELIVERED AFTER PREGNANT MOTHER FATALLY STABBED

Doctors performed an emergency cesarean section on a woman who was stabbed to death, saving the woman's infant girl Monday morning.

Danielle Scott, 19, was brought into Integris Southwest Medical Center with her throat slit, said hospital spokesman Damon Gardenhire.

Ms. Scott was one of two people stabbed at a southeastern Oklahoma City apartment complex. A 23-year-old man whose name was not released was in serious condition at another hospital. Police searched for two men for questioning.

Dr. Marty McBee, who performed the surgery on Ms. Scott, said he was not aware she was pregnant until she was brought into the emergency room.

"The lady had no pulse, but she apparently had some vital signs at the scene," McBee said. "We cut the baby out and started CPR."

McBee said he started the surgery 20 seconds after Ms. Scott, who was 81/2 months pregnant, was brought into the hospital. He said he had only a few minutes to get the baby out before the child would die from lack of oxygen.

"My whole goal was to get this baby out because the mother was dead," he said.

McBee said it was unusual for dead victims who are pregnant to be brought into the emergency room with the baby still alive. He said in most trauma situations, the baby usually dies and is removed to save the mother's life.

"I have never experienced a situation like this," McBee said. He said he was surprised the baby responded so quickly to the oxygen that was administered after the delivery.

"It responded immediately to our therapy," McBee said. "Right now the only danger to the baby is if she didn't get enough oxygen."

McBee said he was emotionally affected by the situation because his wife is pregnant. "It just breaks your heart," he said.

The baby was in critical condition after being transferred to Children's Hospital, said Dennis Gimmel, hospital spokesman. He said the baby weighed around 5 lbs.

"The baby did not have to go through any kind of surgery. They're just working on her right now to make sure she's all right," Gimmel said.

Police Capt. Charles Allen said the attack occurred inside an apartment. The victims were outside the apartment when a neighbor saw them and called for help.

Authorities said postal worker Terrie Collins came across the victims on her rounds and helped comfort a two-year-old child who was also at the scene. The child was unharmed.

The male victim told her: "They tried to kill us man," but he didn't say who did it when asked by Ms. Collins, officials said.

The 23-year-old male victim was in serious condition at Midwest City Regional Medical Center after undergoing surgery for stab wounds in the neck, said Kathy Heston, spokeswoman for the hospital.

Ms. Heston did not know the connection between the two victims.
