On the 3d instant, JOHN L., [D.?] son of John G. and Christiana M. Brandstetter, aged 3 years and 10 mos.
Our dearest child, how frail thy bloom—
How fond, but, oh ! how brief the trust;
Oh ! lovely form ! how dire the doom
That bids us lay thee in the dust.
But, rest thee there, in quiet sleep,
Since Angels bade thee from us fly—
Though parents' anguish cause to weep,
We'll soon embrace thee in the sky.
The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, from the residence of his parents, Frankford Road, above Wood street, this (Saturday) afternoon, at 1 o'clock. To proceed to Odd Fellows' Cemetery.
