Ernest Ray Allen, 84, of Minturn, passed away Thursday June 30, 2016 at the NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.
Born March 20, 1932 in Minturn, son of Frank G. and Lillie Simms Allen. He was a veteran of the Korean War in the United States Marine Corps and a farmer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include his wife Vaudeen Thompson Allen of the home, three daughters, Brenda Dunlap of Clearwater, FL, Cindy Johnson of Moore, OK, and April (Allen) White of Jonesboro; two sons, Terry (Charlie) Allen of Memphis, TN, and Barry Allen of Minturn; two sisters, Frances (Robin) Walley of Clover Bend, and Shelby Bates of Hot Springs; one brother, Tommy (Cherrie) Allen of Greer's Ferry; eight grandchildren, James Dunlap, David Dunlap, Ashley Gomez, Blake Johnson, Cassey Walker, Connor White, Seth White, and Kate White; eight great-grandchildren; and step-sister Joyce Quattlebaum of Jonesboro.
