David Hugh Conner , 69 of Salem, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016. He retired from Carter Machinery. He was an avid UNC Tar Heel fan and enjoyed everything related to the Tar Heels. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Edwin Conner; mother, Winifred Baulsh Conner.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael D. and Wendy D. Conner; granddaughter, Callie I. Conner of Radford; daughter, Jennifer M. Conner; sister and brother-in-law, Carol C. and Calvin T. Anderson; niece, Carie and spouse Jamie Austin; great nephew and niece, Jay and Kendall Austin of Roanoke.
Funeral Service will be held noon, Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Oakey’s North Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Lane officiating. The interment will follow at Fair View Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
