Donald G. "Don" Stroud, Sr., beloved father, brother and grandfather, of Kansas City, KS, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the age of 77. Don was born the son of Samuel A. and Lora N. Stroud on May 15, 1939 in Fair Play, MO. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors include his two sons, Donald Stroud, Jr. and Micheal Stroud; daughter, Fonda Smalley and her husband Donnie; brother, Lloyd "Pee Wee" Stroud and his wife Susie; seven grandchildren, Sam Stroud, Joey & Jarek Smalley; Dominic, BJ & Desiree Vargas and CJ Hedge as well as a loving extended family and friends.
Don was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Stroud; two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 6-8:00 PM followed by a funeral service on Saturday, July 2, at 10:00 AM both being held at the Maple Hill Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, KCK.
