Lucinda Rogers Holiday was born October 8, 1862, in Greene County, Indiana to John and Maria Shippy Rogers. She died on June 23, 1934, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Andrew C. Watkins, Boyd Okla.
On September 11, 1877, she was united in marriage to George Holiday; he preceded her in death Aug. 13, 1900, in Arkansas. They were blessed with five children: Mrs. A. C. Watkins, Boyd, Okla.; Edgar and Elmer Holiday, Perryton; Mrs. Tola Harrison, Gunnison, Colo.; and Oscar Holiday of Arapaho, Colorado; twenty-five grandchildren and a host of friends are left to mourn her death.
