Maxie had fought a long battle with cancer.
He loved to fish, golf and spend time with his family. He is survived by his two brothers and sister-in-laws, one nephew, three nieces and their spouses and two great nephews.
Maxie was preceded in death by his parents Robbie Neal Carter and Beverly Yeomans Carter
