Martha Jane (McDaniel) Fravel was a daughter of Rev. William Kent and and Sarah (Rife) McDaniel. She was born in Ironton, Lawrence County, Ohio. Rev. McDaniel was a circuit preacher in the United Brethren Church and brought his family to Pataskala sometime between 1860 and 1870. There, Martha met and married Quincy Fravel. They were the parents of: Carra M. Fravel b. Feb. 8, 1870; Vinnette L. Fravel (married Charles Roberts) b. Sep. 1, 1870; and Arthur Clay Fravel b. Mar. 23, 1882.
