VAN PATEK

Van Patek, 68, of the Village of Mishicot, died early Tuesday morning, December
24, at North Ridge Care Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 10 am Friday
at Lambert Funeral Home and 10:30 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. Rev.
Msgr. James Feely will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Patek was born September 12, 1917 in Kewaunee County, son of the late Peter
and Anna Paszkiewcz Patek. He married Mary Kuffel on February 2, 1946. She
preceded him in death in 1969. He farmed in the Mishicot area until moving to the
Village in 1984. Mr. Patek served in the United States Army/Air Force and was a
veteran of World War II. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
Survivors include four sons and a daughter-in-law, Peter and Linda Patek of Two
Rivers, James Patek of Manitowoc and Thomas and George Patek of Mishicot; seven
daughters and five sons-in-law, Mrs. George (Rose Mary) Blohowiak of Two Rivers,
Mrs. John (Linda) Rank of Manitowoc, Mrs. Duane (Veronica) Pekarek of Kewaunee,
Mrs. Dean (Clara) Pekarek of Mishicot, Mrs. Thomas (Marilyn) VanderKinter of
Denmark, Joyce of Milwaukee and Anita of Mishicot; a brother, Edward Petak of
Kewaunee; a sister, Mrs. George (Gertrude) Crissy of Milwaukee; ten grandchildren
and a special friend, Leona Hean. He was preceded in death by four sisters.
Friends may call at Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot, 4 pm to 9 pm Thursday where
a memorial service will be at 7:30 pm.
