Mrs. Barbara Hemperly, widow of the late Thomas Hemperly, died on Sunday, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Eli Bentzel, at Mt. Joy, in her eighty-first year. Her husband died thirty-five years ago. Jacob Evans and Abraham Evans, of Campbellstown, are half-brothers of the deceased. The following children survive: John E. Hemperly, of Harrisburg; Mary, wife of Eli Bentzel, of Mt. Joy; Elizabeth, wife of E. C. Rice, of Washington, DC; Miss Barbara Hemperly, of Mt. Joy; Katie, wife of Gabriel Moyer, of Mt. Joy; Charles Hemperly, of York. Cause of death: Carcinoma of uterus.
