Emilie was born in Schmiden, Germany October 5, 1889. She married Karl Ernst Linsenmaier of Stetten, Germany on July 8, 1917. They had 3 children, Erna Emilie, Richard Carl and Bertha Marie. Karl immigrated to the US to find work, settling in the Doylestown area of Pineville in Pennsylvania where Emilie's sister, Minna Claxton lived. In November of 1923, Carl (now with a "C"), sent for Emilie and the children, who left Germany on the German ship Albert Ballin. They sailed out of Hamburg, but were listed as having lived in Canstadt at the time. Their stated purpose in coming was "perm" and they intended to become citizens. WThe manifest lists her as 5 feet tall, with red hair and green eyes. All 3 children had red hair and blue eyes. They arrived November 18, 1923.
After the death of her husband, Emilie lived in Doylestown, PA. She had 7 grandchildren.
