Lonnie "Pete" Dwight Lancaster, 91, he departed this life July 3, 2016 in Norman, OK. Pete was born on October 18, 1924 in Wagoner, OK to Fitzhugh Lee and Lydia Myrtle (Akin) Lancaster. He attended Crooked Oak School in Oklahoma City, until enlisting in the U.S. Navy. He served his country from 1943 to 1946 during WWII. On June 27, 1946 Pete Lancaster and Martha Dollar were united in marriage. Pete owned L.D. Lancaster Building and Construction and worked in building and contracting for over 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching anything sports on TV, bowling, animals and he loved a challenging game of golf. Pete was a member of First Southern Baptist Church, were he and his wife, Martha were devoted workers. He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 63 years, Martha. Survivors include his sons, Dwight Lancaster, and wife, Kelly, Dewayne Lancaster, and wife, LaDonna; grandchildren, Tonya Rader, Christina Jaco (Danny), Holly Brown (Scott), Lonnie Lancaster (Jessica), Joshua Lancaster (Kathleen); nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Faye Mathis (Leroy), Beverly Huston (Fred). A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2016, at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
