Elvis Carson Johnson, 92, formerly of N. 7th St., died Friday at Phillips Nursing Home. A retired roofer, Mr. Johnson was born in Lexington, Ky. He was a member of Third Presbyterian Church.
A son, Stephen, preceded him in death. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Ed Hartley of Wheaton, Mrs. Homer Max of Mason City, Iowa, Mrs. Al Towell and Mrs. Mary Fritz of Springfield; one son, Stanley Moore of Springfield; 23 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Services at Ellinger and Kunz Funeral Home. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
