PAMPA - Julia Mae Briley, 54, of 2212 Lynn in Pampa, died at 2:15 p.m. August 7 in St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo.

A Shaklee Distributor, she was a native of Mangum, Oklahoma and a Borger resident.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pampa. She was raised in Phillips and Borger, lived for 3 1/2 years in Pampa, 5 years in Perryton and Booker and attended schools in Phillips.

She married Orval (Buddy) Briley on July 28, 1951 in Clovis, New Mexico.

She is survived by her husband, Buddy, of the home; two sons, Ronald Eugene Briley of Carlsbad, N.M., Richard Ken Briley of Grosebeck; one daughter, Julia Renee Hofacket of Pampa; two grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Hobgood of Borger and Wanda Watson of Englewood, Co.; three brothers, James Akins of Borger, Billy Joe Akins of Indonesia and Kent Akins of Borger.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Pampa with Reverend Darrel Rains, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Memory Gardens in Pampa under the direction of Alexander Funeral Directors.
