Wayne Geary
Services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Goble-Miller Funeral Chapel for Wayne Geary, 78, Tulare, who died today at home.
Mr. Geary was born, raised and educated in Whipple, Ark. He moved to Tulare in 1935. He married the former Violet Meese in Reno, Nev., in 1940. He served in the Army in the South Pacific during World War II. He owned and operated three Tulare gas stations over a 25-year period, including Geary's Gulf, Geary's Regal and Geary's Hancock stations. He was a member of the Church of Christ and an avid fisherman.
In addition to his wife in Tulare, he is survived by two sons, Tim and Steve Geary, both of Tulare; one brother, Adam Geary, Van Buren, Ark.; one sister, Edith Marymont, Lavaca, Ark.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Tulare Cemetery. Remembrances may be sent to the donor's favorite charity.
