Nancy King Chalfie, 53, Indianapolis, a member and former secretary of the board of directors of Jewish Family and Children Services, died Wednesday. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday In Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation, of which she was a member. Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Meridian Hills Mortuary is handling arrangements. A beauty consultant for 10 years with Mary Kay Cosmetics, Mrs. Chalfie was first in sales in her unit each year and was honored in the company's National queens Court for sales achievement for three years. Previously, she was a dental assistant four years for Dr. Rebecca Donaldson, Carmel, until 1978. She then taught classes for the learning disabled at Hamilton Southeastern Junior High School and Clay Junior High School, Carmel, until 1982. A supporter of Riley Hospital for Children, she donated funds generated from sales of Mary Kay products.
Mrs. Chalfie was a volunteer for the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation Gift Shop. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children, Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation or the donor's favorite charity. Survivors: husband, Ivan M. Chalfie; daughters, Deborah Chalfie, Denise Kolts and Diana Scheid: sons, David, Barry and Daniel Chalfie; parents, Donald and Princess Lucille King; sister, Marilyn Bryson; brother, Roger King; five grandchildren.
