APACHE JUNCTION -- Oscar W. Byers, 78, a self employed tile installer for 35 years, died June 12, 1986, at Desert Samaritan Hospital and Health Center. Mr. Byers, of Apache Junction, was born in Mt. Albany, Ind., and moved to Arizona in 1944 from Mt. Vernon, Ill. He was a member of Knights of Pythias in Tempe. He is survived by his wife, Ruth E.; son, Paul E.; two sisters; two brothers; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Friends may call for an hour preceding services, which start at 10 a.m. today at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden, Scottsdale.
