Romelia (Romie) Marquez, age 83, a resident of Bernalillo, went home to our Lord, Monday, November 13, 2006, while her loving family was at her side. She was preceded in death by both her parents; her husband, Benito; her son, Archie; four brothers; and two sisters. Romie has seven sons, Eugene Marquez, Walter Marquez, Leroy and Lorraine Marquez, Tom and Naomi Marquez, Reyes Marquez and Natalie, Christopher Marquez, Nelson and Sarah Marquez; two daughters, Diana and Leonard Prairie, Margaret Dern and Fernando Anaya; one brother, Rey and Sandy Mirabal; seven sisters, Virginia Cordova, Ruth Goitia and Charlie, Helen Miller, Pattie Espinosa and Richard, Tillie Tenorio and Rudy, Angelina Schwerkoske and John, Jeanette Lopez and Jimmy; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Visitations will be Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited this evening at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Bernalillo. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00 a.m. also at the church.
