Capt Connie Mack Gravitte, Vietnam Veteran, Native of Ca-Vel, North Carolina.

Captain Connie Mack Gravitte was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Air Force, CPT Gravitte served our country until June 17th, 1966 in South Vietnam. He was 32 years old and was married. It was reported that Connie died when his plane crashed. His body was not recovered. Connie was born on July 12th, 1933 in Ca-Vel, North Carolina. CPT Gravitte is on panel 08E, line 056 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for 10 years.

He served as a Captain with 391st Tactical Fighter Squadron, 12th Tactical Fighter Wing, 7th Air Force.

He was awarded The Purple Heart Medal for his combat related wounds, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal, The Good Conduct Medal and The Air Medal with Multiple Oak Leaf Clusters.
