George S. Alwyn was a worker in the mill of a silver-lead mine, and the son of George C. Alwyn (born in Quebec City) and Clarissa Sisson (born in the US); married but no information on spouse. The informant was C. W. Alwyn of New Denver, per familysearch.org online copy of BC Archives death certificate 1912-09-169246 (and also duplicate 1912-09-162949).

George S. Alwyn (bachelor age 45, a hotel keeper born in Quion QC, son of George C. Alwyn and Clara Sisson) and Sarah Gathercole (spinster age 25, born in England, daughter of James Gathercole and Sarah Bush) were married in New Denver BC on 02 Apr 1902, per Royal BC Museum online copy of BC Archives marriage certificate 1902-09-178023.
