The following is from his obituary published in the Riverside Daily Press on 8 Oct 1968: In Corona, California, October 6, 1968, James R. Fondren, aged 76 years. Late resident of 10680 Jurupa Road, Mira Loma, CA. Husband of Delma Fondren, Riverside. Father of James C. Fondren, Fountain Valley, CA and John L. Chronister, Long Beach CA. Also survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Crestlawn Mortuary. Rev. Charles Robertson officiating. Entombment Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier CA.
