Laura is the daughter of Timothy McCarthy and Margaret Kearns. She was born in Michigan in 1878. In 1898 she married William Scully who was born in Ohio.

On 14 Sep 1921 she married Edward Lacombe in Detroit. Laura died in July 1963 and is buried next to her husband, Edward, in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Detroit.
