Portsmouth – Joseph Sessoms Myers, 81, died August 29, 2015. A native of Portsmouth, he was predeceased by his parents, Carroll Lee and Musa S. Myers; and a brother, Carroll Lee Myers. Jr. Mr. Myers was a retired plant supervisor with Tarmac (formally Lone Star Ind.). He attended Broad Street UMC and was a member of Park View Baptist Church, the American Legion # 204, Portsmouth Moose Lodge #898, the Gridiron Club and the Sportsman Club. Joe walked the streets of Port Norfolk every day since 1995 and loved being at Nags Head with family and friends, putting jigsaw puzzles together, and watching the Washing Redskins.
