Two More Happy Hearts. Yesterday morning in St. Francis church, Father Bauer performed the ceremony which united in marriage Miss Eliza Carroll and Thomas McManus, both of Mapleton. The couple are well known on the peninsula and in Traverse City and their friends will unite in a wish that they may have a long and happy life. They will make their home at Mapleton.

Arthur McManus, 93, of Carroll road, Old Mission peninsula, a pioneer
resident and fruit grower, died early Sunday afternoon at Munson Medical
Center. ... lived his entire life there. He was a life member of St.
Joseph's Catholic church on the peninsula and of the Holy Name Society of the church. For many years he was a member of Maple Grove school board, District 7, Old Mission peninsula. Surviving are seven sons, Verl E. of Kingsley, William A. of rural Traverse City, and Harold S., George A. Sr., Elmer A., and Carl L., all of Old Mission peninsula; four daughters, Mrs. Cecil (Marjorie) Gallagher of Traverse City R2, and Mrs. Ben (Margaret) Hager, Miss Dorothy C. McManus, and Mrs. William (Norma) Rasmussen of Old Mission peninsula; 41 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
