Nita Lavene Fox, 88, resident of Fairfax, Oklahoma, died at 11:35 P.M. on July 4, 2016 at the Fairfax Community Hospital, at Fairfax, Oklahoma.

Mrs. Fox was born April 14, 1928 at New Albany, Kansas to Clifford E. and Blanche Irene (Tyner) Morris. She was raised and received her education at North Pole and Eureka Schools. She was married to W.L. Patton in 1949 at Eureka, Kansas. He later preceded her in death on December 12, 2012. Nita made her home most of her adult life at Carter Nine, near Shidler, Oklahoma. She had worked as a Store Manager for a number of years for the Braums Ice Cream Stores in Ponca City. She was a member of the First Baptist Church at Shidler. Her hobbies were garage sales, gardening and rescuing stray animals. She was very active in Volunteer work for several organizations, and was a very nurturing and caring person, volunteering her time, and caring for others.

Mrs. Fox is survived by her sons Terry Johnson and wife Stephanie of Amarillo, Texas, Larry Patton and wife Lisa of Shidler, Oklahoma, and Pat Patton and wife Jodi also of Shidler. Twin sister, Neva Jones of Kearney, Missouri, Vera Depue of Grand Prairie, Texas, Carol Rogers of Fredonia, Kansas, Dottie Oakleaf, and a brother Louis Morris both of Cherryvale, Kansas, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, and by numerous nieces and nephews, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Fern Nelson.

Per her wishes, a Private Family Service will be announced at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory in Bartlesville, OK. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Fairfax Manor Nursing Home 282 CR # 6300 Fairfax, Ok. 74637.
