Mrs. Ahlschlager passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at a local hospital in Lawton with her family at her side.

Jackie was born on September 4, 1939, east of Lawton to Bessie Sybil (South) and Carl Lee Spradlin. She lived in Lawton the majority of her life and attended Will Rogers Elementary, Lawton Junior High School, and graduated from Lawton High School in 1957.

She then attended Cameron University where she was named Aggie Queen. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1961 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She was a school teacher for 31 years, retiring in 1992 after teaching 7th grade English her last 20 years at Central Junior High School. She married Sidney Harold Ahlschlager on May 19, 1972 with a good friend and teaching colleague, Duard Givens officiating at his church in Indiahoma.

Showing her compassion and dedication, Jackie cared for her mother, Bessie, in her home for over 12 years. She was a gentle mother, proud grandmother and a loyal and loving wife. She was confirmed in the Episcopal Church on December 13, 1963 at St. Barbara on Fort Sill. She was a faithful and committed Episcopalian for over 53 years.

She attended St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, serving on Altar Guild, helping to set up and clean up for the church service and also enjoyed being an Usher. She was a part of the feeding ministry at St. John's Missionary Baptist Church. Jackie was an avid reader and enjoyed Christmas.

She lovingly spent hours sewing ornaments so that everything on her tree was handmade. Her favorite pastime after taking care of her grandgirl in babyhood and toddler years, was watching her granddaughter at her Equestrian Horse Shows.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Sid Ahlschlager, of the home; her daughter and son in law, Kari and Dusty McCuiston; her granddaughter, Sydney Kimberlin Wells; her longtime best friend, Zedith Ogilbee; her cat, Eddie and her Yorkie girl, Charlie.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
