New Albany - Jamie Rowell Elder, 77, died Saturday at Union County General. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Keownville Baptist Church, and a member of the #304 Fairfield Masonic Lodge.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the United Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Floyd Lamb and the Rev. Charlie Ransier officiating. Burial will be at Keownville Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Richey Elder of New Albany; two daughters, Shelby Portis and Shirley White, both of New Albany; two sons, Windell Elder and Waymon Elder, both of New Albany; two sisters, Janette Ford and Gladys Medlin, both of New Albany; five brothers, Finner Elder of Ripley, Raz Elder and Roger Elder, both of New Albany, Henderson Elder of Denver, Colorado, Hordis Elder of Memphis, Tennessee; 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and six step-grandchildren.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
