On 01/24/1994 Officer Green was transferred to the Bomb & Arson Section. Detective Green remained in this position until he resigned his commission on 03/19/1996 for the private sector. During his career he was awarded 1 Chief's Letter of Commendation for police work above the call of duty on 03/11/1988. Detective Green served a total of 8.89 years of faithful and dedicated service to the department.

Kevin grew up in Carondelet and graduated from St. Mary's High School and Fontbonne University. He and Pat were married in 1978.
Kevin was a police officer for 18 years, first with the St. Louis County Police and then the St. Louis Police Department, where his assignments included the Bomb and Arson unit.
He later was an insurance company arson investigator.
Services: Funeral Mass at 11 a.m., Thursday at St. Simon the Apostle Catholic Church, 11011 Mueller Road in Green Park, reception to follow at the parish.
