Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 15, 2016 at the United Methodist Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Pastor Joshua Pegram will officiate. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Friday at the United Methodist Church.
Carol was born March 9, 1933 in Wisconsin Rapids to Henry and Myrtle (Johnson) Akkerman. She married William Lokken on January 3, 1956 and was blessed with 7 years of marriage until his death in 1963.
She had a strong religious faith. Her family was everything to her. Carol enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She cherished family reunions and holidays. She especially loved making her Christmas Treats. Carol was a die-hard Packers fan, and enjoyed watching games on TV. She is deeply loved and will be truly missed.
Carol is survived by her children: Marshall (Laura) Lokken, Mark Lokken, Myra (Thomas) Arendt, and Lisa Lokken-Graf; grandchildren: Lindsey Miller, Josh Arendt, Chad Lokken, Teresa Goehring, Ashley Kamantauskas, Austin Lokken, Santana Graf, and Troy Graf Jr.; and a sister-in-law, Terry Akkerman.
She is preceded in death her husband, William Lokken; parents, Henry and Myrtle Akkerman; grandchild, Cassidy James Graf; brothers: Doug, Jack, and Gary; sisters: Phyllis, Patricia, Elaine, Dexter, and Irene.
