Clyde W. “Scratch” Anderson Jr., age 71, of Biloxi died July 15, 2016.
Mr. Anderson was a native and lifelong resident of Biloxi, MS. He served in the MS National Guard for 8 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1244, former member of the Local Union #903 I.B.E.W, and a member of Our lady of Fatima Catholic Church. He was a self-employed electrical contractor for 20 years. He retired from the City of Biloxi as an electrician and formerly served on the Board of Electrical Examiners.
Mr. Anderson is preceded in death by his loving wife, Irma DeSilvey Anderson; and his parents, Clyde and Kathryn (Emile) Anderson.
Survivors include his children: Stacy (Mike) Landry and Glenn (Dawn) Anderson; sister: Georgia (Lionel) Clark; brothers: Kevin Anderson, Keith (Mary) Anderson and Kendall Anderson; four grandchildren: Jason (Kathy) Anderson, Jessica (Preston) Wade, Trent Forehand and Dalton Anderson; and four great grandchildren: Kane Anderson, Kaylee Anderson, Gage Forehand and Anthany Kelly.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice, the doctors and staff of Biloxi Internal Medicine, Mr. Anderson’s friends at Seashore Oaks and Back Bay Drugs and his caregivers, Andrea and Ms. Marty.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on Monday, July 18, 2016 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit from 9:30 am until mass time. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
