Jewell H. Mays of London, Kentucky passed away Friday, July 15, 2016 at Pineville Community Hospital in Pineville, Kentucky. She was the mother of Janice Gilbert and husband Jerald and James H. Mays Jr. and wife Katie all of London, Kentucky. She is also survived by three grandchildren; Jennifer Sprinkles of Summersville, South Carolina, Teresa Mays and Patrick Todd Taylor both of London, Kentucky, by eight great-grandchildren; Triston, Trinity, Tripp, Triah, Laryn, Devan, Jessica, and Wyatt, and by one nephew, Steve Hibbard of Cincinnati, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Haswell Mays Sr., by her parents, Oakley E. Hubbard Sr., and Trenna Anderson Hubbard, by one grandchild, Greg Taylor, and by her brothers, Oakley E. Hubbard Jr., and Harold H. Hubbard. She was a member of First Christian Church, a retired florist, a member of the Julie Jackson Circle, the Laurel County Homemakers Club, and the Red Hat Society. Graveside Services and burial for Jewell H. Mays will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, July 17, 2016 at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park with Jonathon Carmack officiating.
