Died Friday, July 15, 2016, at Brownwood Nursing Home in Wildwood, Florida. She was born June 25, 1931, in McAndrews, Kentucky, the daughter of Rab and Virginia May. She was formerly married to Moses Trout and Billy Johnson and both have preceded her in death. Joy was a waitress at Haabs Restaurant in Ypsilanti for many years. Memories of her will always include her love of cooking and making a home for her family. Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Brewer; daughter-in-law, Susan Ludwig; six grandchildren: Mo Trout, Jennifer Cummings, James Howlett, Scott Trout, Dave Lewis and Amy Wallace; 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her son, Moses Trout Jr. and daughter, Sharon Howlett. A Celebration of her Life will be held Thursday, July 21, 2016, at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Walker Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Washtenong Memorial Park, Ann Arbor, MI. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
