Albert Leo Bezanson - 88, of East Dalhousie, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.

Born in The Forties, he was the son of the late Edward and Mabel (Fiendel) Bezanson.

Albert was retired, having worked with the Department of Highways as a Road Foreman and was self-employed as a woodsman. He enjoyed being in the woods and loved his dogs.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, the former Ruby Barkhouse; a daughter, Gwen Lohnes, Liverpool; two sons, Blair (Linda), Lake Paul; Miles (Wanda), East Dalhousie; two sisters, Elizabeth (Clayton) Joudrey, Lake Paul; Beatrice (Howard) Arenburg, Waterville; a half-sister, Sadie Bond, British Columbia; three grandchildren, Tracy, Scott and David; three great grandchildren, Isabelle, Gracie and Austin; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2012 in St. Cyprian’s Anglican Church, Dalhousie, Reverend Frances Boutilier and Reverend Valerie Rhymes officiating. A reception will follow in the East Dalhousie Community Centre.2
