He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Timothy and Sharon Belcher of State College, Pa.; brother-in-law, James Harshbarger of Milton, W.Va.; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and William Ridgley of Easton, Md.; and numerous nieces and nephews. The eldest son of Arthur and Dollie Belcher, Danny was born and raised in Huntington, W.Va., where he was a proud member of the Boy Scouts, rising to the rank of Life Scout. After earning an Associate's Degree from United Electronics Institute, he provided GE Fanuc with 42 years of loyal service as a Test Engineer. As a voracious student of history and science, he enjoyed visiting Civil War battle fields, hunting for fossils, studying astronomy, and reading Louis L'Amour novels. An avid hiker, golfer, and outdoorsman, Danny spent much of his free time traveling to state parks, particularly Seneca State Forest, to escape the modern world and commune with nature. He and Joan especially loved working on their mountaintop land in Pocahontas County, W.Va., affectionately called "Yonder."
