Thomas M. Abel, age 93, of Outlook Pointe, Dillsburg, passed away Friday evening, January 5, 2007 at Manor Care Health Services, Carlisle.
Thomas was born June 28, 1913. He worked as a coal miner during World War II and then worked for the Harrisburg State Hospital for over 30 years until his retirement. Thomas was a former member of the First Assembly of God, Harrisburg and presently attended Dillsburg Assembly of God.
He was the widower of the late Sarah Gilmour Abel.
Thomas is survived by his granddaughter, Cherilyn Turner Boller, of Houston, TX and his son-in-law, Ian Turner, of Grantham. He was predeceased by his daughter, Nancy Abel Turner.
Services will be held Thursday, at 11 AM, at the Dillsburg Assembly of God, 209 W. York Street, Dillsburg, with the Reverend Stephen Spuler officiating. Burial will be in the Rolling Green Memorial Gardens, Camp Hill. There will be no viewing or visitation.
